Only tick this if the vehicle genuinely is not being permanently imported.
There are two situations where no import duty or VAT is due:
Carnet de Passage or Trip Ticket
A temporary import document, issued against a deposit. The car enters the country, and it must leave again within the period on the document. Used for touring, motorsport, exhibitions, and cars going in for work.
Already registered in the destination country
The car is on Saudi, Qatari, Kuwaiti, Bahraini, Omani or UAE plates and is simply going home. It was already imported, and the duty was already paid.
If the car is on export documents, it is a permanent import. Duty and VAT will be charged at the border regardless of what you selected here. Do not tick this box hoping to avoid them — customs will assess the vehicle on its paperwork, the shipment will be held, and the cost of that delay falls on you.
If you are not sure which applies, leave the box unticked and ask us. We will tell you before the truck moves.
